Fort Adams State Park

Stop #3 on the Jamestown Newport Ferry, Fort Adams, home to the Folk and Jazz Festivals (see the Express Service page), provides a visual record of military history from the 1820s to the end of WWII. The walls of the fort, the "listening tunnels," and panoramic views of Narragansett Bay combine to make this an interesting and educational stop. Guided tours are available. Jamestown Newport Ferry departures are from Alofsin Pier, 90 Fort Adams Drive, Fort Adams State Park. Plenty of parking here! See our FAQ section for parking information.
