Fort Adams State Park

Stop #3 on the Jamestown Newport Ferry is Fort Adams. The Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals (we provide express service to both) are hosted here, however, the fort also provides a visual record of military history from the 1820s to the end of WWII. The walls of the fort, the "listening tunnels," and panoramic views of Narragansett Bay combine to make this an interesting and educational stop. Guided tours are available. Jamestown Newport Ferry departures are from Alofsin Pier, 90 Fort Adams Drive, Fort Adams State Park. There is plenty of parking here! See our FAQ section for more parking information.
